I suspect that, not so long ago, the VMs would not have been described by the same crowd as at all "beautiful". This is basically what I mean when I say that the VMs is becoming more "mainstream": it's not that it is changing, but rather that as people's tastes are evolving, so the whole Voynichian vibe is becoming more accessible.
